Google Maps data collector
Collects business listings across many places at once and survives crashes without starting over.
Software we built and run for our own business. It is real and in use.
In plain terms
A desktop tool that collects business listings from Google Maps for any mix of locations and search terms. It can run a very large batch, such as 50 cities in one go. It spreads the work across several workers and saves its progress, so a crash never means starting again. A single export often runs past ten thousand rows.
- Handles huge batches across many cities and countries.
- Saves progress constantly, so a crash loses almost nothing.
- Has both a point-and-click window and a command-line mode.
What this does not claim: Built for our own use. It collects only what Google Maps shows publicly.
Technical details
Selenium-based collector with batch mode over location x keyword combinations (including a 50-city run), proxy rotation, parallel workers, and crash-safe resume through SQLite + Postgres dual-write. Produces multi-country datasets (US, UK, Canada, Australia) with 10K+ rows per export.
