A dashboard for preparing customs paperwork
From an online shop's orders to finished customs documents, with a human review step.
A working sample we built to show how we would solve a problem like this. It is not a delivered project.
In plain terms
A web dashboard for preparing customs paperwork from online shop orders. Upload the order file, fill in missing product details, check tariff codes, flag items that need extra declarations, then review and correct them before downloading the finished export and invoice.
- Fills in product details automatically from a master list.
- Flags the items that need extra declarations.
- A person reviews and approves before anything is exported.
What this does not claim: A working prototype tested from upload to download on sample data, using a stand-in for the tariff-code service.
Technical details
Upload a Matrixify order export, enrich each line by EAN from internal master data, live-verify tariff codes through a Taric-Support-shaped client, flag lines needing physical declarations (refrigerant type, VOC content), then manual review, correction and approval, and export a BEO-style CSV and a PDF intercompany invoice. Tested end to end with test_flow.py.
- Python (Flask)
- Matrixify-format Shopify export
- EAN master data
- CSV + PDF export
